THE FAMILY

 

The history of our colours started more than 100 years ago and since then we have been giving evidence of a tradition of quality and efficiency.

In 1901, 20 years old Orazio Brignola, after a short work experience at the Ratti &  Paramatti in Turin, decided to start its own business.
The workshops he opened in Genoa for the preparation of white lead together with his brothers Vittorio and Giovanni, who later emigrated to Chile, finally merged in the company still located in Mignanego.
This was the beginning of the ORAZIO BRIGNOLA SpA.

The founder’s entrepreneurship, working ethos and self-abnegation inspired the business of the company which extraordinarily expanded between the twenties and forties.
The company was rapidly led to success by the marine industry, the main business activity at the time: vessels belonging to the greatest shipping lines were painted with Brignola’s colours.

During the years of the Restoration, Benito, Orazio’s son, seized the opportunity of the housing boom to strengthen the company’s commercial structure in that field.

Brignola repeated and strengthened the success obtained in nautical and naval fields also in housing, applying the same policy based on quality, reliability and efficiency.
